Contract Analyst

Our client in the Waterloo area is looking to fill a Contract Analyst for approx 26 weeks. The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and qualifications below:

Skills & Qualifications

· 2 - 5 years experience with contracting in high tech industries (e.g. wireless communications, telecom's) and a thorough understanding of complex contracting issues

STAGE Program Coordinator

Description: Under the direction within the CIHR Strategic Training for Advanced Genetic Epidemiology (STAGE), the Program Coordinator will provide overall program management of various complex work plans of a large training program. The mission of the program is to provide leadership in integrated epidemiological and statistical research training for genetics with a population health impact, in the context of a world-class training environment. The vision is to develop a model of training in genetic epidemiology and statistical genetics that will significantly increase capacity with such expertise and set the stage for future programs in Canada, as well as providing trainees with enriched international collaborative experience early on. The incumbent will build relationships with individuals at various levels across the research community; act as liaison with various groups of stakeholders, including 30 mentors, several national and international partners and stakeholder organizations, and traineeships; develop a budget to ensure project priorities and objectives are met, monitor project expenditures and be responsible for the financial integrity of all financial transactions; assist the principal investigators in all their program-related duties; gather information to develop evaluation tools, organize the curriculum activities, co-ordinate and liaison with trainees regarding administrative issues such as practicum placements, international exchanges and internships; prepare annual reports and promotional materials, provide administrative assistance with all aspects of the implementation and maintenance of the STAGE program.

Qualifications: Education:
University degree in management and/or business administration or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. An additional degree (College or University) in English, Marketing or Communications would be an asset.

Experience:
Minimum five years of relevant experience in a health research related environment. Demonstrated proficiency in project management and program administration, preferably in an interdisciplinary health research setting. Experience in budgeting, event planning and meeting coordination. Demonstrated experience in developing complex documents and written materials. Knowledge of the genetic epidemiology research community would be a particular asset. Knowledge of the CIHR funding mechanisms, rules and regulations is essential.

Skills
Advanced computer skills with superior knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe's desktop publishing software (Illustrator, Acrobat Professional, PageMaker and InDesign), bibliographic databases (EndNote), and experience designing and developing relational databases (FileMaker Pro). Demonstrated writing and verbal skills in the English language, for accurate communication with all STAGE stakeholders, development of program documents, reports and advertisements. Familiarity with audio-visual and presentation equipment, and content management and/or webpage editing software. Technically competent with computer peripherals (printers, scanners and webcams) and videoconferencing equipment. Reading knowledge of French and/or Portuguese would be an asset given that communication with French and South American partner agencies will be required.

Position Overview:

Specific Accountabilities:

•Build and leverage relationships with representatives of key school faculty, the Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers (CACEE), provincial institutes in Western Canada and other student organizations to ensure Deloitte's campus initiatives are innovative, targeted and effective

Qualifications:
