Live-in caregiver (care giver for Friday to Sunday)

Salary: To be negotiated

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Port Coquitlam, British Columbia (2 vacancies )

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of high school


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate


Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Children's Ages: Toddler to pre-school (1 - 3 years), Kindergarten age (4 - 5 years)


Experience with Special Needs Children: Autistic


Work Setting: Employer's home


Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Help children with homework, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Take children to and from school and to appointments, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children


Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Driver's validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)


Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle


Work Location Information: Work in employer's/client's home, Staff accommodation provided, Room and board provided


Other Languages: Portuguese


Other Information:Knowledge of autism required. Portuguese speaking an asset.
