With customers in 47 countries, training thousands of people every year, our products are proven to reduce training costs, improve operator productivity, and help minimize the safety risks associated with training new operators.Simlog is looking for a Marketing and Sales Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, this position requires superior organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and exceptional written communication skills in English and French. The ability to prioritize and excel at a diverse set of projects and responsibilities, including direct marketing, marketing communications, and inside sales, is a must. The ideal candidate also possesses a strong interest in keeping current on trends and best practices in email marketing, segmentation, and lead generation through online marketing resources and the latest literature. Responsibilities:Marketing Support:• Identify and manage list rental and e-mail marketing providers to increase lead generation in key growth segments. • Prepare targeted marketing campaigns, including market research for the creation of emails and landing pages.• Measure the results and effectiveness of all marketing campaigns and provide recommendations for the planning of new campaigns.• Identify customers for success stories and participate in the research and writing. • Prepare and maintain content for Simlog’s Web site.• Review Web site visitor statistics to identify trends and areas for improvement.• Monitor editorial calendars of key trade publications to identify opportunities for article and press release submissions. • Prepare other marketing collateral and press material (e.g. brochures, e-newsletters, and press releases).• Plan and prepare exhibits at trade shows and/or identify speaking opportunities at conferences. • Collaborate on the development of new marketing initiatives, including weekly, quarterly and annual marketing plans and budgets.Sales Support:• Respond to email enquiries and telephone calls from prospects in an assigned market segment.• Prepare quotations for prospective customers and invoices for orders.• Update the contact management system with lead qualification details.• Prepare sales pipeline reports from the contact management system.• Distribute sales leads to Simlog’s value-added-resellers. • Follow-up directly on other sales leads in the assigned segment.Required Qualifications:• University degree in Commerce or Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing and/or International Business.• Minimum 2 years relevant experience.• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.• Ability to travel occasionally.Desirable Qualifications and Skills:The following qualifications and skills are considered to be strong assets for this position: • Prior relevant work experience in a high-tech or an industrial sector, preferably related to applications for training.• Prior relevant work experience in marketing to the educational sector (e.g. vocational/career and technical schools, high schools or, community colleges). • Prior relevant work experience in marketing to the construction and/or mining industries. • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish, Portuguese or German.• Knowledge of desktop publishing tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Publisher. • Knowledge of video editing tools.• Knowledge of HTML.
