Technology Team Leader, QA

JOB DESCRIPTION
Organize Quality Assurance (QA) tasks and priorities for the QA testers for all virtual world features, tools and web functionality in order to ensure a safe, consistent and positive experience for the audience online across all cultures globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee and schedule QA testing workflow and prioritizing tasks, reporting regular team progress updates to QA Manager and all appropriate internal stakeholders.
• Support team members in their daily tasks; communicate priorities as set out by the Manager and Production schedule.
• Review all bug submissions and liaisons with Production and Programming teams to expedite fixes.
• Document and standardize QA process, methodologies and reporting, ensuring they are followed by the QA test teams globally.
• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive test plans and wiki updates to ensure quality standards and processes within the organization, locally and internationally.
• Work with Production and Technology teams on understanding of the feature scope and development schedule.
• Provide and coordinate QA training and mentoring for team members (will include initial training of new hires locally and globally QA).
• Maintain long term forecasts of projects with resource availability as a focus.
• Creating and maintain weekly Risk Registers on any changing timelines or scope that could have an impact on the QA schedule.

REQUIREMENTS
• Post-Secondary Certificate or Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Project Management Certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5+ years leadership or management experience in a QA and/or Technology department.
• 5+ years QA experience with a focus on game products.
• 3+ years of web content and application QA experience preferred.
• Experience with localization testing strategies for complex languages.
• Experience with testing mass user website/games including smoke, integration stress, performance/load testing using custom scripts and some automated tools.
• Formal training and experience with QA tool, processes and methodologies.

• Able to multitask and prioritize heavy workload under pressure.
• Able to retain and manage detailed project information.
• Understands how to work with remotely located teams.
• Able to define or redefine processes if existing processes are inefficient or need to be created.
• High attention to detail.
• Collaborative and positive working style.
• Proven knowledge of executing and reporting on multiple projects within a tight timeline.
• Understanding of Website production.
• Able to manage relationships with internal stakeholders, including Creative, Production and Technology Management and developers.
• Able to respond to project demands with creativity and enthusiasm.
• Able to clearly articulate suggestions and ideas in both written and verbal form.
• Able to collaborate, build and organize teams; assigning and monitoring tasks.
