The Mobility Advisor is a new role within Deloitte and responsible for supporting the assigned service in the pursuit and execution of their mobility strategy.

Partnering closely with the Talent Advisor community, and others in the talent organization, the Mobility Advisor provides consultative guidance with respect to crafting assignment packages & required costing, driving awareness of mobility opportunities, and facilitating all elements of the assignment process for the mobility assignee. The Mobility Advisor is the main point of contact for their service's mobility contacts across the globe.

This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Mobility.

Responsibilities:
• Consultation with Talent Advisors & Recruiters:
•advise on international assignment frameworks and support package arrangements
•provide guidance on complex domestic relocations
•support specific mobility-related projects and targeted communications at the service level
•prepare assignment budgets and required costing - engaging the Tax practice on assignment tax issues, when necessary
•facilitate performance review and assignee development discussions between member firms
•assist in identifying urgent needs/'hot jobs' - ensuring optimal posting & promotion
•drive traffic to targeted mobility postings - both domestic and international
•Collaboration with other member firms mobility teams and internal stakeholders:
•act as the main point of contact for other member firms mobility teams on all assignment-related matters
•facilitate strong connection between sending and receiving firm Talent contacts
•manage and direct Canadian & other member firm secondment requests/inquiries
•engage with payroll/finance/Talent Operations re: inter-firm billings and unique system set-ups
•track assignment data and coordinate program/assignment-specific invoicing
•provide Talent Operations with required direction to update Peoplesoft/talent movement report
•facilitate interviews for inbound mobility assignees, as required
•Consultation with relocating practitioners:
•support relocating employees with required logistics: i.e., vendor contacts, temporary accommodation bookings, general queries, connections to immigration support
•Special programs oversight
•coordinate specific mobility related programs/projects as assigned (i.e. International Development Fellowship program, Just In Time hires /Busy Season Exchange etc .)
• Minimum of 3 years "hands-on" talent generalist/specialist experience
• Acute attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, often with tight deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to break down complex concepts for a targeted audience
• Proven ability to work in a consultative and matrixed environment
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, exercising judgment when necessary
• Experience working within a national model and supporting clients remotely
• Working knowledge of common mobility practices, transactions and protocols
• Proficient with Excel, Taleo and Peoplesoft
• Hand's on experience managing mobility transactions an asset
• Experience building assignment budget/ costing tables an asset
• Fluent written and spoken English a requirement; French, Spanish, Portuguese nice to have
