Position Overview:
As part of the Talent Acquisition Centre of Expertise, this Talent/HR professional reports directly to the National Campus Leader and is focused on providing strategic and tactical leadership for an assigned team of campus recruiters in Western Canada. The Campus Team Lead, West position may be based out of the following locations: Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Saskatoon, Regina or Winnipeg. Regular travel throughout Western Canada will be required.

Specific Accountabilities:
•Support the development and execution of the Western CA campus recruitment strategy, process and policies with input from Local Service Leaders, Talent Advisors, and Campus Champions under the direction of the National Campus Leader
•Build and leverage relationships with representatives of key school faculty, the Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers (CACEE), provincial institutes in Western Canada and other student organizations to ensure Deloitte's campus initiatives are innovative, targeted and effective
•Maintain a thorough understanding of competitors' campus recruitment programs
•Lead a team of assigned campus recruiters:
◦Provide coaching and support to campus recruiters with regard to the overall campus recruiting strategy including the Firm's employment brand, hiring needs, policies, processes and quality standards
◦Oversee the execution of the annual key school recruitment plans in Western, including the development of new initiatives targeted at increasing brand awareness and early sourcing of CA stream students
◦Follow the performance management processes to ensure team members receive coaching, performance feedback and career advice
•Responsible for all recruitment activities in Saskatchewan and Manitoba (3 schools and 3 offices)
•Collaborate with other Campus Team Leads to balance campus recruiter workload, facilitate cross-country and cross-border candidate referrals and sharing of best practices
•Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the region's campus recruitment results against hiring targets and student feedback on a regular basis
•Lead training on behavioural interviewing techniques and campus recruitment marketing messages to campus team members, ensuring that the firm's standards around academic strength and client-centric focus are strong elements of the selection process.
•Work with the National Campus Leader continuously to develop innovative approaches to position Deloitte in the marketplace to attract the highest quality campus hires
•Provide input into the development and design of marketing strategies and materials related to campus recruitment
•Provide input into careers site design and configuration
•Participate in other Talent projects as required
Qualifications:

◦5 years of recruiting and/or human resources experience with at least 2 years of relevant leadership experience and a university degree
◦Ability to deliver effectively in a highly complex, matrixed partnership, and work closely with Partners and Business Leaders
◦Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills with previous people management experience
◦Consultative client service approach
◦Ability to travel across Western Canada on a regular basis
◦Working knowledge of Taleo is an asset
◦Proven experience in a highly developed campus recruiting environment, developing innovative and creative approaches to campus recruitment
◦Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship building skills
◦Working knowledge of business operations
◦Superb planning and an ability to execute complex initiatives
◦Fluent written and spoken English is required. Fluent spoken French is an asset and spoken Spanish or Portuguese is desirable.
