Live-in caregiver (Live in nanny)

Terms of Employment: Temporary, Full Time, On Call, Day, Night

Salary: To be negotiated

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Scarborough, Ontario (1 vacancy)

Skill Requirements:


Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate, Red Cross Babysitting course, Not required


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Children's Ages: School age (6 - 12 years)


Work Setting: Own home, Employer's home


Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Help children with homework, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Shop for food and household supplies, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Take children to and from school and to appointments, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children


Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, Valid driver's licence, Public transportation is available


Other Languages: Cantonese, Portuguese, Spanish


Essential Skills: Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking
